High School Sun-Safety Infographic & Logo Contest Q&A
In an effort to promote sun-safety and reduce the risk of skin cancer, the Iowa Cancer Consortium and the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services distribute 90+ gallons of sunscreen to community organizations across Iowa every summer through our Sun-Safety Community Project. Along with providing sunscreen, awarded projects educate the community about the risks of ultra-violet (UV) exposure and ways they can help prevent skin cancer.
The High School Sun-Safety Infographic & Logo Contest gives Iowa high school students the opportunity to participate in the Iowa Cancer Consortium’s Sun-Safety Community Project, express their creativity, and potentially win a cash prize!
Students who want to participate must create an infographic about staying safe in the sun and a logo for the Sun-Safety Community Project that can be printed and displayed alongside sunscreen awardees’ own materials and sunscreen. The logo will also be included on stickers that go on the sunscreen containers. Both the infographic and logo will be displayed on the homepage for the project on the Iowa Cancer Consortium website. Please read full contest rules and requirements at https://canceriowa.news/contest.
All entries are due by NOVEMBER 30th, 2024. Winners will be notified via email by FEBRUARY 28th, 2025.
