POLICY WORKGROUP MEETING

The purpose of the Iowa Cancer Consortium's Policy Committee is to inform cancer control partners of state and federal legislative activities, issues and advocacy opportunities that related to cancer, and to provide a platform for discussion. 

The Iowa Cancer Consortium is a non-partisan, non-political organization and does not use state funds to engage in lobbying. Views presented by participants during Policy Committee meetings do not necessarily represent the opinions or positions of the Iowa Cancer Consortium, its board of directors, staff or membership.

It is the Iowa Cancer Consortium’s practice to remove AI assistants and notetakers from the virtual meetings it hosts. These include workgroup, committee, and board of directors meetings, as well as virtual conferences. Openness is foundational to the work that happens within the Consortium, and we want every person to feel like they can speak and participate openly and honestly during meetings. But don’t worry - our staff take and share great meeting notes!
